If you have any of the conditions listed below, I recommend that you seek advice from your GP as to whether aromatherapy massage is appropriate for you.
- Currently pregnant (oils: only mandarin is will be used)
- Cardiovascular/heart/circulatory conditions (low/high blood pressure, heart conditions, thrombosis, varicose veins)
- Bloodborne disorders: HIV/AIDS/hepatitis/other
- Rheumatic disorders: osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout
- Chronic respiratory disorders: asthma/COPD/other
- Diabetes/other endocrine (hormone) disorders
- Chronic gastrointestinal or liver disorders
- A diagnosed gynaecological problem
- Chronic kidney disorders
- Neurological conditions (e.g. epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, Bell’s palsy)
- Spinal issues (whiplash, slipped disc, spondylitis)
- Trapped/pinched/inflamed nerve (e.g. sciatica)
- Cancer/cancer treatment
- Unexplained oedema/localised swelling/undiagnosed lumps or bumps
- A diagnosed psychiatric/mental health disorder
- Recent operation
- An implant of any kind
- Prescribed medication
- Allergies or sensitivities
- Severe skin problems
- Any condition already being treated by a GP or hospital specialist.
If you feel that this is not necessary because your condition is mild or stable, and you are happy to proceed without it, I will ask you to sign a consent form at the consultation.
